Tomas Eneroth, Sweden's Minister for Infrastructure, “Stockholm Declaration”, will be presented by the Swedish Minister for Infrastructur, as the final outcome document of the Ministerial Conference. Building on the Moscow Declaration of 2009 and the Brasilia Declaration of 2015 and UN General Assembly and World Health Assembly resolutions, the Stockholm Declaration will be ambitious and forward-looking and will connect road safety to implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Academic Expert Group has compiled a set of nine recommendations for a road safety strategy for the period 2020–2030.

Dr. Amani Abou-Zeid is the African Union Commissioner in charge of Infrastructure, Energy, ICT and Tourism. For more than 30 years, Dr Abou-Zeid has served in leadership positions in international organisations and has amassed a remarkable mix of experience from across continents and stakeholders. Dr. Abou-Zeid was selected twice, in 2012 and again in 2019, one of "The 50 Most Influential Women in Africa.
Liliana Pavlova, Vice President and Member of the Management Committee of the European Investment Bank (EIB). She took up her duties on the 1st of November. She is the first Bulgarian national to join the EU bank's Management Committee.
World Bank
- Mr. Makhtar Diop, Vice President for Infrastructure, World Bank – Makhtar is leading the World Bank delegation, and can talk about road safety as a development imperative and its importance for poverty reduction and growth around the world; the complex question of ensuring financing for road safety, and the World Bank’s commitment to it both through financing and as a thought leader. Languages: English, French, some Portuguese and Spanish.
- Hartwig Schafer, Vice President for South Asia, World Bank – With a focus on the South Asia region, Hart can speak about how improving road safety is critical for saving lives, reducing poverty, and advancing economic growth; the need for a comprehensive road safety strategy that includes safer roads, safer vehicles, safer behavior, strong governance, and post-crash health care; the World Bank’s commitment to road safety in South Asia through financing, research, and partnerships (for example with the UN and FIA).
- Guangzhe Chen, Global Director for Transport, World Bank – Guang can speak about how road safety is being prioritized in the World Bank’s work, our financing of it, how it relates to the other transport challenges (such as access and climate sustainability), and our global advocacy for it. - Soames Job, Global Lead for Road Safety, World Bank – Soames is the head of the Global Road Safety Facility, which provides major funding in support to road safety initiatives around the world. He can explain the social and economic consequences of road crashes, the international community’s efforts to address the problem, and delve deeply into the technical solutions such as the “Safe System” approach. Mohammed Hamad Al Sulaiman, Chief Executive Officer for Naj Dr. Al Sulaiman held numerous leadership positions in various sectors, such as telecom, banking, investment OPS, and more. He is an accredited expert in global project management and mergers and acquisitions and was involved in statistics and development of numerous corporate projects.
