Travel Fund for Least Developed Countries and Low-Income Countries
A travel fund has been established to support the travel costs for delegates from least developed countries and low-income countries.
The fund is managed by WHO, and will support the travel and per diem costs of one government representative from countries which are classified as least developed countries by the United Nations or as low-income countries by the World Bank. Least developed countries and low-income countries are hereinafter referred as eligible countries.
Least developed countries (UN OHRLLS website)
Low-income countries (World bank website)
While delegations from eligible countries may be larger in number, the travel fund can only support the cost of travel and per diem for one government representative from each of these countries to attend the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety.
Eligible countries wishing to ask for travel support should send an email to Roadsafety2020@who.int. The letter should be an official letterhead and should indicate the name, affiliation and contact details of the participant to be supported.
Please note that requests for travel funds only will be accepted until 26 January 2020.
