Book and manage your test

This page contains the information you need to schedule, reschedule or cancel one of your tests. Remember to have your photograph taken before your first theory test.

Extended validity period of your approved category B test

The Swedish Transport Agency has decided to temporarily extend the period of validity of category B approved theory tests, or approved driving tests to six months.

This means that an approved test will be valid for six months from the day the test was approved.
The extension will be applied automatically.

You do not have to wait until training is complete to book your test

But take your time and learn well. This helps to improve your changes of passing your theory test and practical driving test on your first attempt, which will save you both time and money. It is important that you and your instructor plan the training so that it is completed before you take the test.

You do not have to wait until the training is complete to book a test. If you are retaking a test, we recommend that you use the time well to train more before you take the next test. Ask your instructor to help you review the results.

Have your photograph taken before the theory test

Everyone taking a driving licence test must have their photo taken in conjunction with their first theory test. You cannot supply your own photo. Therefore, you should make sure to arrive well in advance of your test.
Having your photograph taken for your driving licence is a requirement for being allowed to take the test. This also applies to those who already have a driving licence and are taking a test to be approved for a new licence category. Watch the video illustrating the process on the bottom of this page.
